Requirements:

To qualify for GS-14, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS13 .

This is a non-bargaining unit position.

Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Examples of specialized experience include :

  1. Experience providing accurate information and guidance regarding procedures (i.e. arrest and processing; arrest principles); and handling of evidence and dangerous material; AND
  2. Experience applying relevant laws, regulations and policies to investigative resources and techniques (i.e. ATF Giglio Policy); AND
  3. Experience providing leadership to others such as workgroups, teams or special projects; AND
  4. Experience communicating orally and in writing (i.e. reports and briefings); AND
  5. Experience negotiating and collaborating with others (i.e. interacting with other law enforcement agency (state, local or federal)
